So most of you know I am huge sci fi fan. I however walk the line of Star Trek and Star Wars. Neither show is my favorite and I don't like comparing them as they are 2 vastly different franchises.

When Star Trek: Nemesis came out I was disappointed. It was a horrible movie, no question. The TV series Star Trek: Enterprise that followed was even worse (the chief engineer gets pregnant...and its a male engineer...yeah..good job guys).

So when I heard they were going to do a brand new Star Trek Movie, basically a new origin story of how Kirk met Spock, etc... thought it would be bad. The rumours circulated about how the director was doing his best to never have another Star Trek: Nemesis and the fans would love this incarnation.

Then I come to find out he's a Star Wars fan growing up and not Star Trek, and absolutely hates the "cheese" (he apparently cringed at how klingons and romulans are supposed to look and how thye act etc...) This has once again sunk my hopes for a good movie. That and the following pic:

Where Speed Racer has never gone

Makes me just shake my head.

In Star Wars news Knights of the Old Republic has been announced as the new MMO Bioware's Texas department has been working on. There is supposed be a large amount of information released this month. Here's hoping its as good as the games
