So I headed back to Yarmouth for a few days. It was some much needed time off with family I hadn't seen for months.
My sister is due to give birth in June and I got to see the baby pictures up close. It was interesting seeing them coloured orange, (I was told they use orange to help define the 3D pic...I would have preferred blue but hey to each their own
)
Otherwise I spent quite a bit of time just relaxing, watching movies and drinking beer. I got called over for some tech work, (I swear people have no clue how to program a tv anymore), chatted with my folks, got to check out my parents kittens.
Speaking of for those that didn't know one of my cats had kittens but I am uncertain as to their future. There was an extremely large kitten stillborn that seems to have taken up all the room. This means the kittens that are alive and happy are all crippled. There paws are badly twisted. They can crawl, but walk is another story. I am waiting to see in a few weeks how they move about...then will decide their fate. Darn shame really
Been job hunting and have gotten a few decent hits. Planning on furthering my education and taking a couple more course once night shift is over. 10 hour night shifts Friday to monday is killing me. Its thankfully over in May but I am very much burned out.
Was in a fender bender a couple of weeks back that thankfully turned out awesome. No one was hurt and the damage was entirely to my car, and it passed inspection..some minor cosmetic damage in case anyone was wondering. I have learned to seriously hate the following about Halifax:
1) Pedestrians that walk out in front of cars if there's a cross walk or not or a walk sign or not. If you don't give me a little wave, I should have every right to plow you into a building
2) People that drive either so fast they nearly cause accidents or so slow to react that hey nearly cause accidents
3)People still using cell phones that aren't hands free, or putting on makeup, doing laundry whatever...you're driving. DRIVE!
That's all folks. Not much else is happening.
